September 2026 Newsletter
Greetings from the Taylors, missionaries to the Philippines.
Ministry & Family Update
At the time of this writing, we, like all ministries, are experiencing the sweet and the bitter. The grace of God has made it possible for us to experience joy and peace in spite of our challenges.
Our visitors from the U.S. arrived in June and departed in July, and there is nothing left but memories of their visit. We spent time with our daughter’s family, grandkids, and some longtime friends. While they were here, we were able to visit places and do things that we don’t normally do. That included island hopping, resorts, parks, and just enjoying good times together.
They got a close-up view of the ministry and were able to meet teachers and staff, parents of the students, and friends of the ministry. They also got to experience what it is like to live on a farm in the Philippines with chickens, pigs, and fruit trees.
We tried to maintain our regular schedule while they were here, but at times found it difficult. We occasionally interrupted classes to allow the children to get to know our visitors. One Wednesday, we invited the whole school to the farm for fun and games. Another day, we invited the whole school to a swim day at the local pool.
School Update
We finished our 2025–2026 school year in April with finals, promotions, and graduations. We began our new 2026–2027 school year in June and have already had evaluation tests.
Our teachers have had to pitch in more than ever before as we continue to be bombarded with more and more government requirements in order to operate. God is good, and by His grace and with the help of two lawyers, a bookkeeper, and our teachers, we are meeting the requirements little by little.
Two of our former students have graduated from high school and have started college. These two students have been supported since nursery school, and their supporters have agreed to help them through college. They are working for the school part-time and serving in the church on Sundays. The mission is also contributing toward part of their college education.
Church & Discipleship
God is answering prayer in the church. We have more men attending, and some of the spiritually mature are participating in the church service. We are discipling some and plan to begin with others.
We have weekly home Bible studies and visitation. The church leaders are praying early on Sundays for you, our supporters, our countries, and our ministry.
Thank You for Your Support
We thank God for your participation in this ministry. We can’t do it without you. Please visit our website to learn more, and please consider a visit to see what you have invested in.
Prayer + Praises
Faithful Support – Praise God that you are still supporting us through your giving and prayers.
Government Requirements – Praise God that, little by little, we are meeting the government requirements. It has been a long haul.
Our Visitors – Praise God that our visitors made it through their trip with only a little sickness and lots of bug bites. They enjoyed their stay here in the Philippines and even expressed a desire to return.
Our Staff – Praise God that our staff is doing well and helping a lot.
——
Health – Pray for our health and the health of our staff and their families.
Future Leadership – Pray for the Taylors and the Board of Directors in the States. We are all aging and are praying for the leaders God will raise up to continue the ministry when we are gone. We would like to expand our ministry, but age restrains us at times and prevents us from doing more.
Department of Education – Pray that we can soon satisfy the Department of Education. For some reason, they have been difficult to work with this year, unlike in past years.
Computers & Curriculum – Pray for the funds to purchase computers for the students to use. They need more hands-on exercises. We are also trying to save money on books by using lesson curriculum offered through the DepEd website.
Men’s Discipleship – Pray that we can disciple more men and help bring them to spiritual maturity. Currently, it is mostly women running IT, worship songs, prayer, testimony time, and Scripture reading. We are thankful for our women, but the husbands need to learn how to be leaders in their households as well as in the church.
