August 2025 Newsletter

Greetings from the Taylor’s!

Missionaries with Vision Faith Ministries in the Philippines

Our hope and prayer is that this newsletter finds you in the center of God’s will and blessing. We are continually lifting up prayers of thanksgiving for each of you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to the States. It was a joy to attend the wedding of our son and his new wife, spend time with our children and grandchildren, and visit two of the churches that support the ministry here. We also cherished the fellowship we shared with many dear friends and family members.

We returned to the Philippines on June 22 and hit the ground running, though we are still recovering from the long journey and the physical exhaustion of travel. Upon arrival, we discovered both of our vehicles needed repairs, the plumbing in the house needed attention, the coconuts on the farm were ready for harvest, and the house required deep cleaning due to the rains during our absence.

We are grateful that during our time away, the school, church, and farm were well cared for. We received good reports and saw firsthand upon our return that everything had been faithfully managed. Praise God!

Thanks to the generosity of donors in the U.S., we were able to install a new roof and updated electrical wiring in three more classrooms. All of the school buildings now have new roofs and reinforced supports. There is no longer water on the classroom floors—thank God, and thank you for your part in making this happen.

School registration has been completed, and classes resumed on Monday, June 3, after the summer break. All of our teachers have returned for the new school year. We attended our first church service this past Sunday and were so happy to see everyone again.

We have resumed our study of 2 Corinthians during Sunday services and restarted our weekly Bible study with the school teachers, focusing on the character and nature of God. Advanced discipleship training continues on Mondays with our interpreter. We also plan to increase personal home visits with the parents of our students, especially the fathers. We believe that primary education begins at home, and we hope to encourage men to take a more active leadership role both in the home and in the church.

Our first shipment of donated boxes from the U.S. has arrived! These contain clothing, shoes, books, Bibles, and other essential items for those in need. We’re expecting a second shipment that will include more supplies, as well as tools needed for maintenance and repairs. These shipments also contain sewing machines, which we’ll use to teach parents how to make and alter clothing for their families and for income. Thank you so much for your continued generosity and support.

Prayer Requests & Giving Information

Health – Please pray for our health and the health of our staff. Both Lanie and Delloyd are dealing with health issues; Lanie especially is in constant pain and suffers from severe allergies. Our staff is regularly exposed to illnesses that the children bring in, including pink eye, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, the flu, lice, and more.

Revival – Pray for personal revival in our lives and in the lives of those we minister to. Please pray especially for the men to rise up and take godly leadership in their homes and churches.

Leadership – Pray that God would raise up mature Christians who have the vision to help shoulder the responsibilities of leadership. Lanie and Delloyd understand that they will not be able to carry the ministry forever, and we need younger believers to help ensure its longevity. Our board of directors is also aging, and we need faithful Christians to assist with ministry work in the United States.

Property Access – Please continue to pray for a legal right-of-way to the farm property, where we plan to move and expand the school. We are experiencing complications with neighboring landowners and bureaucratic obstacles. The current road access is unreliable and could be closed at any time.

Provision – We praise God for His faithful provision thus far. If you feel led to participate financially in this ministry, here are ways you can give:
