December 2025 Newsletter

Greetings from the Taylors and the servants here in the Philippines! We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. As another year ends, we are grateful for the opportunity to reflect on God’s goodness and faithfulness.

School Updates

This has been a big year for the school. We hired a new teacher, bringing the total to eight teachers and one administrator. Most have been with the school for 2–5 years, with one serving for 12 years. It is truly a strong team.

Lanie visits the school daily to counsel parents, teachers, and students. While things are not always perfect, God’s grace has been sufficient to help us through each challenge.

The students enjoyed several events this year. The school held a Jamboree at the farm, where students and faculty shared a day of games, competitions, prizes, and food. United Nations Day was also celebrated, as required by the Department of Education. Students learned words from the countries they represented, dressed in traditional clothing, and shared about different customs. Throughout the year, the school continues to offer experiences that build on their education while also placing importance on citizenship, Bible memorization, health, and hygiene.

Facility improvements were another major focus. Thanks to your generosity, we completed several upgrades, including improvements to electrical systems, roofing, and the remodeling of the counseling room and bathroom. Because termite damage is a constant issue, all new construction was done using metal. The old buildings had been severely damaged and needed significant repair.

Ministry Updates

Shortly after returning from the United States, we hosted a mission group visiting various ministries in the Philippines for evaluation and training. Lanie accompanied them on some visits, and before their departure, we enjoyed a day of island hopping together.

This year also included a men’s gathering attended by about ten men who typically do not attend church. The topic, “The Man’s Part in the Family and Church,” was timely and much needed, especially as men are often less involved in church life here. On November 24th, we hosted a ministerial seminar at the farm with thirty-one pastors and chaplains. Two later asked to receive weekly discipleship. In December, we will hold our Thanksgiving and Founders Day celebration, sharing a message from God’s Word and distributing the contents of boxes sent from the United States.

Church Updates

Even without a permanent native pastor, the church continues to hold weekly services. Sermons in English are shared via PowerPoint and translated. Lanie leads the children's Sunday school class. The church recently completed a series through 2 Corinthians and has now begun a survey of the Old Testament. The teachers continue to attend weekly Friday Bible studies.

Blessing of Solar Power

We are deeply grateful for a generous donation that allowed us to install solar panels at the school. This blessing reduced our electrical bill from $100 per month to $1.50 per month, and we no longer experience brownouts. We thank God for this provision.

Financial Update

The ministry’s typical monthly budget is between $5,000 and $6,000. This year we faced substantial additional expenses due to much-needed repairs and improvements, including work on the counseling room, roof repairs, and replacing termite-damaged wood with metal. These projects resulted in an additional $15,000 in expenses above our normal budget. If you feel led to give toward these needs find the giving information below.

Communication Updates

We have also been working on improving our website and communication systems from the U.S. side. Please visit our updated website to access the newsletter archive and view regularly updated photos. You may also follow Lanie Taylor on Facebook for more frequent updates.

Prayer Requests

Health
Please pray for our health and the health of our staff. Many of the children bring illnesses into the school, including fevers, colds, and other contagious conditions. Lanie is in constant pain and undergoing testing, and Delloyd is experiencing the challenges of aging. We thank God that He continues to use us in spite of these difficulties.

Leadership
Pray for our faithful board of directors and ministry leaders. They are doing a wonderful job, but we need additional people who can help sustain the ministry for the future. Younger believers with a heart for service are especially needed to continue the work both here and in the United States.

Provision
Pray for those who support us financially, as many have fallen on hard times. We praise God for His provision and trust Him to meet our needs. If you feel led to help offset the additional expenses from this year’s repairs, information on giving is available below.

Property Access
Please pray for the ongoing process of legally securing a right-of-way to the farm property, where we hope to relocate and expand the school. We are facing both legal and bureaucratic challenges, and the current access route may be closed at any time.

Faithfulness
Pray that we will remain faithful and be a blessing to all who come into contact with us. Opportunities continue to arise for speaking and teaching, especially in areas where Christians lack training in studying the Bible and are vulnerable to false doctrines.

Government
Pray for the Filipino government. Like in the United States, there are many challenges and changes occurring that may affect our status in both countries.
