March 2026 Newsletter

Greetings from the Taylors and your ministry here in the Philippines.

Ministry Update

With God’s help and strength, the ministry continues. There is always good news when God is involved; however, we have recently experienced some of the most challenging times in the history of this ministry.

Currently, we are walking through another season of grief. We recently completed a nine-day funeral for our school administrator and dear friend since 2014, Jonamae R. Palarion, who passed away at the age of 42. She was Lanie’s sister-in-law and leaves behind her husband, two children, and extended family. She had been hospitalized for about one month prior to her passing.

On March 3, 2026, a large gathering of family and friends laid Jonamae to rest. We look forward to the hope of Christ’s return and the future resurrection.

During this same time, the bank we use notified us that the government had audited them and flagged the school for not having a business license. This is part of a recent nationwide effort to increase regulation and revenue. As a nonprofit ministry, we were unaware that a business license was required.

As a result, our bank account was frozen, and we were forced to close it in order to meet immediate salary needs. Praise God, we were able to find another way to transfer funds from the United States, and all current expenses have been covered.

Since then, Lanie has been working diligently to meet the many requirements needed for the permit. This has included multiple inspections and extensive testing for staff, including blood, urine, and other health screenings. We are thankful to report that the permit requirements have now been met. We are hopeful to resume normal operations and reopen the school bank account.

Through it all, God has been faithful. Through your prayers and giving, the ministry’s needs continue to be met. We know many of you are facing financial challenges as well, and we pray that “God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

School Update

The school year will conclude in April with graduation celebrations. All current teachers, except one who is expecting a child, plan to return next year.

We are also encouraged to see fruit from past years. Two of our former students, now active in the church, will graduate from high school and begin college. God is good.

Church Update

The church continues to move forward, even without a permanent pastor. We hold regular Sunday services and children’s church.

Our current Sunday sermon series is from the Old Testament. In addition, we continue Monday discipleship, Friday teacher discipleship, and Saturday home Bible studies led by one of our disciples.

We also have a dedicated team serving in sound, PowerPoint, worship, testimonies, and prayer.

Upcoming Travel

The Taylors will be traveling to the United States in March for a short visit to address medical and tax-related matters. While the trip will be brief, we hope to connect with some of you.

Please pray for safe travel, successful appointments, and wisdom during this time. If the Lord leads you to give toward the ministry, your support is greatly appreciated.

Prayer + Praises

Comfort and Provision – Please pray for Jonamae’s family as they grieve her loss. There are still hospital and burial expenses that need to be covered.

Salvation – Pray for those who heard the message of salvation each night during the nine-day memorial service. We trust that God is working through His Word.

Ministry Stability – Pray that the ministry will continue to operate smoothly during the Taylors’ time in the United States.

Wisdom – Pray for wisdom in the administration of both the school and the church.

Future Leadership – Pray that God would raise up younger Christians to take on leadership roles and continue the ministry into the future.

Travel – Pray for safe travel and good health for the Taylors during their trip, as well as success in accomplishing their goals while in the U.S.

Government Requirements – Pray that there will be no further complications with government regulations and that all requirements will remain in good standing.

——

God’s Faithfulness – We praise God for sustaining the ministry through many trials.

Permit Progress – We have been informed that all requirements for the business permit have been met, and we expect to reopen the school bank account soon. This is essential for paying salaries, insurance, utilities, and other expenses.

Financial Stewardship – The ministry has hired a bookkeeper to better manage finances, especially in a context where receipts and documentation are often limited.
